A few years ago the speed of an internet connection was terrible. It wasted several minutes to send a little picture to a friend. The only way to reduce the wasted time was to reduce the data volume of the picture.
Now the connection speed is much better. It is fast enough to share pictures or videos with anyone in the world. There are only a few places where you cannot watch high definition live streams.
The only hope for such places will be a new standard called LTE. LTE will be a fast and wireless internet connection method. It will use the old frequencies of television which will not be used any longer. When the infrastructure for this technology is ready, a fast internet connection will be possible for all places.
